Christmas and New Year service levels
We all need some time off over Christmas to eat far too much tasty food and open our presents - our buses are no exception! Whilst we're munching on mince pies and watching the latest festive specials on the telly, the buses will be taking it easy.
To assist with journey planning over the Festive period, we shall be operating a revised level of service as follows:
Sunday 24 December no service
Monday 25 December no service
Tuesday 26 December no service
Wednesday 27 December normal weekday service
Thursday 28 December normal weekday service
Friday 29 December normal weekday service
Saturday 30 December normal Saturday service
Sunday 31 December no service
Monday 1 January no service
Tuesday 2 January onwards normal weekday service
Improvements to service 136
We're pleased to announce a package of significant improvements to service 136, thanks to government funding. The following changes will be made from Monday 4 December:
The service will be rerouted to serve Hayes Lane and Canford Bottom, restoring a service to Hayes Lane and improving coverage from this area in general;
Monday to Friday buses will now run every hour, co-ordinated to provide a broadly half hourly service between Wimborne and Ferndown via Leigh Road;
Saturday journeys are introduced, running every 2 hours but co-ordinated to provide a broadly hourly service between Wimborne and Ferndown;
A later round trip will be provided on weekdays to meet shift times and visiting hours, with the last bus from RBH now being at 1930.
Bournemouth Air Festival X99
We're running a special service to the Bournemouth Air Festival on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 September.
We'll drop you off right by the pier, so you're straight into the heart of where the action will take place! No traffic woes, no struggling to find a parking space - just sit back, relax, and let us do the driving!

You can catch the bus from any stop along the route between Gillingham and Corfe Mullen (basically the 82 and 83 routes with the exception of the Blandford St Mary loop). The bus will run non-stop between Corfe Mullen and Bournemouth.
Only passengers travelling to or from Bournemouth will be conveyed on this service
Fares £10 adult return £6 child / concession return £25 family return (up to 2 adults and 2 children)
ENCTS passes are not valid on this service
